Mission
We've made it our mission to ensure that every student and parent at LACES has the opportunity to join the wide, wonderful world of high school Speech and Debate.
Speech and Debate competitors (also known as "speechies") often go on to succeed at top-ranked learning institutions (such as Harvard, Princeton, Cal, UCLA, Northwestern, Claremont McKenna, Pomona and Williams), and, in some cases, become celebrities.
The list of famous speechies includes Oprah Winfrey, James Dean, Brad Pitt, both Clintons, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Brokaw and Nelson Mandela.
